Compass Systems, Inc. is a proactive, customer-focused engineering services firm employing 75+ full-time professionals and support staff.  Compass' primary focus is on military systems, avionics and video/imagery solutions.  Some of our engineering specialties include new product development, aircraft systems installation and integration of electro-optical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems as well as producing technical drawings, publications, and software documentation.

Since 1997 we have supported emerging and developmental aircraft programs for Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), including special projects, Presidential Helicopter, OSSCAR, MH-60 R/S developmental programs including integration and test of Data Fusion, Link-16 and USW systems on the MH-60R, and engineering support for the MH-60R P3I research for test support including range availability, supportability, and capacity. We also established clear metrics for evaluation of product performance, air worthiness, and to verify proof of compliance. Compass’ support was instrumental in the development of Hairy Buffalo, a Roll-on-Roll-off Sensor suite, as well as the Agile Hawk and Night Hawk UAV's. Compass is working with the US Coast Guard and Pennsylvania National Guard units to provide force-multiplying, palletized mission sensor suites.

Compass’ Technical capabilities include design and production of printed circuit boards (PCB), mechanical designs, software development, IT and Network support (including Information Assurance), test & evaluation, small-lot manufacturing, logistics, complete field support and Satellite Link Services as a distributor of hardware and air-time.

We are also very experienced in rapid prototyping of cutting edge technologies and manufacturing of electronic and electro-mechanical systems. Over 800 Compass produced systems are currently deployed in-theater. In addition to constantly striving to improve current technology, we also have several new electro-mechanical, electro-optical and software products under development to further assist the war fighter.
